This baker’s favorite is a blend of organic whole grains including organic rye and wheat flours surrounded by seeds such as whole flax seeds (high in Omega 3’s), organic sesame seeds (high in B vitamins, fiber) and organic sunflower seeds (high in protein). This loaf is rich in texture, crunch and nutrition.

Savory combination of wheat and rye flours with generous amounts of organic Castelvetrano green olives, organic black and Kalamata black olives paired with organic thyme. Pairs well with Hummus!

The jalapenos are roasted to mellow out the spice, then added to the flour mix of bread flour, wheat, rye and blue cornmeal. Round it out with cheddar cheese and hot chili garlic sauce. Organic pumpkin seeds on top for crunch and additional protein and magnesium.

Why Choose Whole Grain Sourdough?

Whole grains contain all three main parts of the grain: the bran, which is rich in fiber and nutrients; the germ, full of vitamins and healthy fats; and the endosperm, which provides energy. When flour is processed into “white flour,” the germ and bran are removed, leaving mostly starch. At Wholesome Crust Artisan Bakery, our whole grain recipes maximize both nutrition and flavor.

Meet Our Baker, Lourdes

Lourdes trained as a baker at the San Francisco Baking Institute after attending Austin Community College, where she earned an Associate’s degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. Her love for baking and travel allows her to explore new flavors and techniques, which she brings back to the Wholesome Crust kitchen. Whether it’s developing unique bread recipes or perfecting classic loaves, Lourdes is committed to crafting breads that are as nutritious as they are delicious.
